Velero invests in leisure activities for its tenants
Every day he is the first to enter the playground and the last to leave it. Because Mr. H. has the keys to the adventure playground in the Neschwitzer Straße in Kamenz. He himself is out of the age when he climbed on climbing frames. His children take over this task. Mr. H. in turn ensures safety: he closes the fenced-in playground area every evening. The next morning he opens it again.
For almost a year now, young families have been able to use the recreational area created by Velero. An exception occurred during the Corona pandemic, when an interim compulsory break was imposed on the recommendation of the authorities. It is therefore all the more pleasing that the facility is inviting young people to play again in time for its first anniversary celebrations in the summer.
For young and old: recreational opportunities in the residential area
Key holder Mr. H. lives with his family not far from the playground in the building complex behind it. From his window he looks out onto the generously designed sandbox, which frames the climbing frames reminiscent of a castle. Various slides, bridges and climbing walls are available to curious children for extensive discovery tours. Parents can rest on the benches in the shade of the magnificent treetops, as long as they don't have to help out on the swings or seesaws.
The adventure playground in Neschwitzer Straße is the largest of its kind in Kamenz and therefore a popular destination for young families. Velero thought of young and old at the same time when building the recreational facility. A separate play area is available for younger children. Next to it is a soccer field with two goals. When it rains, the fine gravel soil absorbs the moisture so that sports enthusiasts do not have to take long breaks. Those who have two left feet can show off their skills at the kicker table.
Family-friendly living is top priority
The support provided by the Velero property management team in Lessingstadt is also praised by local resident Mrs. L. She and her husband recently moved within Neschwitzer Strasse - for the fourth time in almost 50 years. When the children arrived, they needed larger living space. When they stood on their own two feet, it was reduced in size again. In the meantime, the couple lives in a senior-friendly groundfloor apartment. All defects were repaired before moving in, the bathroom was even newly tiled.
With the construction of the largest playground in the city of Kamenz, Velero has started its mission to promote family-friendly living in Kamenz more strongly. The project includes measures such as merging neighboring apartments to create attractive apartment sizes for young families.

The fact that something is happening in the neighborhood pleases the long-time resident Mrs. L. Of course, in the past she has toyed with the idea of moving closer to the historic old town. Nevertheless Velero living has 370 housing units in Kamenz. But the amenities of the building ensemble in Neschwitzer Strasse still convince her after five decades. Whether shopping, bus stop or doctor's office, all of them are within walking distance of her rental apartment. And while Mr. H. goes to the adventure playground with his grandchildren, Mrs. L. visits her private recreation center in the garden on the opposite side of the street.
